There’s treasure on the worldwide web, little known stuff this side of the world, but revolutionary things all the same. I’d like to introduce you, my reader, to these gems one at a time so that I do not overwhelm you. I have found so many resourceful sites while on the internet & wish to share them.

http://www.opportunitiesforafricans.com is one such resource, a great source of opportunities from scholarships, competitions, awards, fellowships grants among other amazing opportunities.

One in particular that caught my eye is in the education area. Yale University has an amazing opportunity for Form 2 students. The opportunity is  for African secondary school students with a cost-free seven-day residential program designed to introduce students to the demanding U.S. university and financial aid application process and requirements. There is no cost to students to participate in the Yale Young African Scholars Program. 

Summer 2017 sessions will be held in three locations:

Rwanda: 27 July – 2 August
Ghana: 7 – 13 August
Mauritius: 18 – 24 August
